Tempering furnaces are used to alter physical and sometimes chemical properties of a product. Generally used to remove excess hardness and increase toughness by heating to a certain temperature and holding for a period of time before cooling. It is an ideal choice for industrial and metalworking processes, with the most common application being metallurgical. Glass tempering and heat-soak furnaces are also available.
